Hari Vedas' - an all New Pure Vegetarian Family Dining Destination in Udaipur!
Last evening I visited Hari Vedas', an all-new pure vegetarian family dining restaurant in the city, situated on the fifth floor at Celebration Mall.
The moment you enter, you gotta be amazed by the majestic grandeur of the Restaurant's decor. Sprawled over a vast area that hosts Two Hundred seats with private dining pods, three large party dining rooms that can be combined into one, twin seaters, family seaters and all.
It is their fourth restaurant and the first one out of Jodhpur where they already have three restaurants running successfully for over last four years.
The menu is humongous and that too pure vegetarian! You're definitely going to be lost among its wide offerings from Indian, Mexican, Italian, Fusion and Chinese cuisines. The pricing is absolutely competitive and kept at a reasonable level considering the demography.
We took help of one of their experienced floor manager, Mr Vipin Thakur who is working with the restaurant chain for over last three years in choosing what should we try. I insisted on trying some dishes that are new and not available in the city.
Ordered Shaslik Paneer Tikka, Their Speciality Broccoli Almond soup, Mexican Sweet Chilly Potato and Mughlai Naanitza.
Shaslik Paneer |
The Paneer was marinated well and soft, and they added the ghee-charcoal smokey flavour to it. Found the veggies a bit less-grilled but that's a personal preference.
Brocolli-Almong Soup, the house speciality |
The Brocolli-Almond soup was definitely something worth trying. The texture was smooth, and the flavour balance was perfect. I personally liked it a lot. And a word of caution, Many may find it bland if the buds are not trained for anything other than Indian food.
Mexican Sweet Chilli Potato |
The Mexican Sweet Chilli Potato received the most applause on the table. The potatoes are stuffed with cheese and some veggies and then fried with a flour coating and tossed in sweet chilli sauce. Its crunchy from outside and gooey inside. And the portion is huge as they served six pieces of potatoes.
Mughalai Naanitza |
Continuing my love for Fusion food, the next was Mughlai Naanitza. One of their signature dishes where the Desi Naan went for an Italian makeover. A pizza with Naan as the base and then rolled and cut into pieces. Mughlai flavour toppings were good, and it's a fun food to enjoy. Their pizza oven is also something to check out.
HariVedas also serves a Buffet at a very reasonable charge.
The portion of all the dishes was pretty good, and the cutlery they are using will give you a premium feel. Service is prompt, and servers are polite and eager to help you. Though I recognised some of them were known faces from some of the good local restaurants who just got hired at this property!
I have not tried any of their Indian main course dishes, but there is no doubt that the food quality is pretty good.
the Pizza Oven I was talking about! |
Overall, a must try if you are heading to the mall anytime and try exploring the new dishes that they are bringing for the first time in the city!
Great post! The food look so tasty and this place look great to visit.
